Today's Prescription: A Dose of Grad Series
Happy Friday loves! Omg I can't believe I'm two days away from graduating. I know I've been writing my head off about this, and I know ya'll are probably annoyed with me talking about it. However, this achievement was no walk in the park. Getting my Master's was an "all or nothing" task for me, and I want to share my story, and hopefully you'll get something out of it.
In late 2015, after graduating from undergrad, I accepted a state job that after about eight months in, I hated. I felt like I wasn't valued, I hated my boss if I'm being honest, and I knew I needed a change. I can't tell you how many days I'd sit in the bathroom crying because I was so miserable. I liked the work I was doing, but hated management and the culture. That's when I found out about the Master's program. It was full-time, and I would have to quit my job if I was going to go back to school. Well, God always makes a way, and He did for my education. I struggled with some classes, had some trying times, and I was living off a refund check and trying to run a blog at the same time. Fast forward to an internship in Ohio, to getting an offer in Charlotte, NC. Let me tell ya'll, when you're down to nothing, God is always up to something, and for me, I had people who were praying for me when I wouldn't pray for myself. Keep trusting, keep believing, and God will see you through. Here's to post one of "A Dose of Grad."
I love ya'll, and stay fab!
XOXO,
Zaria
