Today's Prescription: My Glam Room
Happy Monday dolls! Ya'll don't know how excited I've been to finally share my glam room with my fabulistas.
When I moved into my apartment, I was sure I wanted to create an exclusive space for prepping for blog shoots while listening to music, reading my favorite literature, and having Bible study Literally everything BUT eating, no eating in the glam room lol. (Keep scrolling for more).
Collaborating with Amber of Blessed Little Bungalow was an easy decision. I found Amber through Instagram and immediately fell in love with her work. Amber was very professional, efficient, but I loved that she made the process fun. She valued my opinion, but also didn't mind giving honest feedback. There were times were I was either indecisive, or I didn't fully understand her direction, but in the end, she definitely used her gift to create the perfect creative space for my style. Amber's work ethic is what impressed me the most, she pulled an all-nighter with me to get this project done.
Now ya'll know I'm all about being fab on a budget. However, there were times where I had to bite the bullet and spend more money than I planned, but it all worked out. I often shopped using coupon codes, Ebates, and signing up for any discounts available. I promise ya'll I saved a lot just by using these resources. Furniture is quite expensive, it was adding up, and sometimes I just had to say no to certain items, and ultimately this project illustrates the fact that you can be fabulous, but frugal.
What I love about my glam room is that I love everything! I could point out my favorite this or that, but it's literally perfect! The accent wall, the vibrant rug, the super comfortable chaise, vanity area, or gallery wall. I am obsessed with every piece of this space. SN: Hire a painter, you will save so much time and energy.
I'm still in awe when I sit in this room. Fun fact: I don't come in unless I've showered, (I know. Super weird), but I gotta keep it clean. So far, I've written blog posts, and done some Bible study in the glam room. I can't wait to play in my makeup, prep for my upcoming shoots, and read all the books I've been putting off for forever.
