Today's Prescription: How to Style Gingham Print

Happy Monday fabulistas! Long time, no post. I'd be lying if I said I'm not ready to get back to South Carolina. Cleveland is cool, but everything is back in SC, so needless to say, I'm getting homesick. Luckily for me, my boyfriend came for the fourth of July holiday and spent a few days with me. Of course, I got him to take some pictures, and he didn't do too bad! That's my boo lol. The apartment complex I'm staying in this summer is so nice, so we decided to shoot in this cute little area outside. Now to today's look. 

Gingham is one of favorite prints and it is definitely making a statement everywhere you shop. I got this top from Make Me Chic and it can be found here. It's almost sold out but I've found some similar tops for my fabulistas here, here, and here. When it comes to styling gingham print, I have three tips:

1. Let the gingham piece do all of the talking: Your print should be the main piece of your look. So don't go overboard by pairing multiple prints with it, that's just not cute.

2. Add a pop of color: Ya'll know I love pink, so this handbag from Kate Spade and my "Flat Out Fabulous" MAC lipstick added just the right amount of color to liven up my look!

3. Accessorize: Jewelry, bags, even lipstick serve as accessories to styling gingham print. For my accessories, I wore my favorite sparkly pink earrings and of course my pink bag. Voila! Simple, but cute.
