Today's Prescription: Girl Gang

Happy Monday, only six days left until Christmas! I've been adopting some horrible sleeping habits that are going to kill me next semester. Oh well. I've spent the past week reading, binge watching Netflix, and I finished my Christmas shopping. I feel accomplished. I'm currently reading "The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl" by Issa Rae, and it's been speaking to the awkward black girl that lives in me. I decided to check out the book after finishing her HBO series "Insecure." The show is everything! I love how she's challenging the stereotypical roles in the modern day relationship. Can we please talk about it?! I'm all the way #TeamIssa I must say! Ya'll let me know if ya'll have watched the show or read the book!

This look is the perfect example of me literally throwing something together. I also really wanted to wear some hoops. If you know me, you know I love hoop earrings. My graphic tee is from one of my favorites, Boohoo, paired with a pleated metallic skirt I got on sale from Rue21. Bam. Metallic pieces are really in, especially for the new year. How are ya'll rocking this new trend? As I said, this look was thrown together, but throwing pieces together sometimes works perfectly in the end. For a more relaxed look, I would throw on a pair of sneakers like Converse or Adidas.
