Today's Prescription:An Introduction to Mixing Prints

Ya’ll know I’m in love with prints, and mixing prints is something that I want to continue to play with when it comes to my looks on and off the blog. Now, I think we are all good on colorblocking, and I want to combine that skill into print mixing because color is king!

I love that print mixing is a little more complex, because it gives me the opportunity to pick the most powerful prints and put together some of the most unconventional looks. So just because it can be a challenge, don’t let that turn you off from the trend-we got this girl!

For today’s look, I mixed only two prints. My skirt and top are plaid, and my jacket is leopard. With this look, I sort of played with both colorblocking and print mixing to make it look a little bit more abstract with the two plaids not being exactly the same in terms of print or color. Again, color is king, meaning color of each piece meshed so well, that the prints just came together for the perfect look.

For shoes, I went with my handy dandy rose gold sandals, and for accessories, a pair of my Quay sunnies and two nameplate necklaces.

I love ya’ll, be blessed, and stay fab!

XOXO,

Zaria
